In 1880, he's said to have come up with the idea to blend a cognac with an orange liqueur, turning that concept into a huge success eventually named Grand Marnier. Candied orange peel and tart cherries combine on the nose suggesting a brandy Old Fashioned. There's also a candy bar effectchocolate covered almonds and nougat. The palate is light
