Treatment strategies for obesity (review including AOD-9604 clinical development)

Shingles Vaccine Recommendations via CDC

It works on the output side of the energy balance equation: it modifies how the body handles the fat tissue once the caloric environment has produced a deficit

AOD-9604 also appears in cartilage repair research (originally investigated for osteoarthritis before pivoting to obesity), because the hGH fragment retains some regenerative signaling without the proliferative risks of full hGH

The Neelakantan 2018 study in Biochemical Pharmacology reported that 5-Amino-1MQ administration to C57BL/6 mice on a 60% kcal-from-fat high-fat diet produced concentration-dependent reductions in fat mass and adipose-tissue NNMT enzymatic activity without significant changes in lean mass or food intake [1]
