Local Heros Sweet Peat 46% 70cl Seven Tails Matured in Refill bourbon andPart of the Local Heros trio of whiskies released by the team behind Coleburn Distillerys revival, Sweet Peat is an intricate, surprisingly complex take on blended malt Scotch. In many ways it does exactly what it says on the tin: its a strikingly sweet expression with wisps of gentle smoke. But dig into it and its got depth, balance and elegance aplenty. Orchard fruits and boiled confectionery align with aromatic smoke and even a touch of incense.
