First Sunrise of 2015 for Denver Reflection I stopped in the Commons

I stopped in the Commons Park area and photographed the newest building which is The Confluence

Exploring one evening I went to the backside of Green Mountain and as I crossed C-470 I noticed the traffic flowing in the darkness of the night

where in the evening in the right conditions a colorful sunset can occur behind the trees allowing their shape to turn to shadow in front of the sky

From this perspective I am able to capture the ice in the picture and help tell the story of that day

When you zoom into the detail it starts to tell a different story then just part of the building which is protecting the interior

First Sunrise of 2015 for Denver Reflection I stopped in the CommonsAs I have done for the past few years on the first morning of 2015 I headed out to Speer and Zuni to capture the first sunrise of 2015 over Denver. With clear skies this year I waited for the sun to rise to capture the light peaking through the skyline of Denver on a chilly morning. This year a few other photographers were also at the vantage point commonly used to capture the skyline of the Mile High City.
