A chunky plank top extends over the thick side frames and the doors are fitted directly into the frames on wooden dowels

this beautiful console table in solid elm wood harks back to the traditional Chinese 'ladies cabinets' that were used as dressing tables in Qing dynasty China

with a cabinet section at the bottom and 12 drawers above

Two small doors sit centrally within rounded frames

Country Side Table d90 in our black lacquer finishThis lovely little table, with a single drawer at the top and a shelf at the bottom, is reminiscent of the Chinese tea tables that would be positioned between a pair of chairs for serving tea or other refreshment. Our updated version, with the beautiful, natural finish showing off the deep grain of the elm wood, works well as a side table or next to a bed. The 'horse hoof' feet add a further element of classic Chinese style.
