Snow was plentiful early in the winter 2012/13 season

This is quite different than in the summer due to much less of the park open and the numbers of visitors quite less at this time

This allowed the shadow of the airplane I was to cast on one of the de-icing pads at the airport as we neared landing

One summer on the way to Steamboat Springs I stopped at Rabbit Ears Pass to photograph the wildflowers which were in full bloom at that time

Most likely this piece just broke off of a glacier further up the versus some of the calving we saw in other areas just a few days earlier

Fishermen in San Diego Building Snow was plentiful early inDuring a trip to San Diego I found my way to Shelter Island and came across the Tunaman's Memorial. This sculpture is a symbol of courage of the fisherman who once operated out of San Diego Bay. Finding the right angle took a few minutes, but using the nice light I was able to capture the image of the sculpture and continue to tell the story of this memorial.
