Each Yamato Special Edition bottle has a very unique glass shape and comes in a special case. There is a noticeably sweet malty quality and a rich cereal grain flavor. The palate leans toward maple at first, then leaning toward resin, lemon peel, cedar and chamomile. Adding water takes down the heat, but renders it lemony and thin.
