“Smooth as Velvet” showcases a red and white 1959 Corvette beside a sign on the wall of Stout’s Music House where I used to buy 45’s back in the 60’s

and in the 1980’s I sold many of these at the Festival of the Arts in Oklahoma City

"See the USA" 1985-1996 Since I couldn’t find enoughOne of my favorite early Corvette watercolors features a Sunfire Yellow 1967 427 435 Sting Ray coupe. Ive always loved the extreme front angle of the mid year Corvette, especially with the black stinger stripe and hood scoop on the big block cars. The brick wall is based on one I photographed just outside the Loop in Chicago, while the neon sign at the top is borrowed from a dealership on Broadway in Oklahoma City.
