Raveneau, Chablis Forets other_regions_italy crushed flowers and graphite give

crushed flowers and graphite give the 2016 an element of exoticism that is impossible to miss

powerful entry

A completely backward but superbly complex nose displays layered aromas that run to game and underbrush as well as ripe red and dark berry fruit trimmed in a bit of wood toast that give way to rich

full and very serious big-bodied and tautly muscular flavors supported by plenty of dry extract and superb length

It has aged better than Les Asteries and I would be inclined to drink this over the next 5-7 years

Raveneau, Chablis Forets other_regions_italy crushed flowers and graphite give(from young vines). As is usually the case this is notably more elegant than the straight Chablis with its nose of pretty citrus, honeysuckle and dried apricot. There is good energy and better detail to the round and delicious flavors that possess more volume while terminating in an equally sappy finish that offers good if not genuinely special complexity but lovely persistence. 90 2018+
