Waves and the Beach Presentation:Matted As I flew into Salt

As I flew into Salt Lake from the northwest I found the colors of the mineral ponds an interesting featuring to photograph

In November 2015 during a brief snow in Denver I headed towards Civic Center Park to photograph

The start of each year is always marked by the legislative session at the Colorado State Capitol

Finding a nice angle I captured the peaks of the canopy as it rose into the threatening clouds of the day

I started 2017 in Juneau

Waves and the Beach Presentation:Matted As I flew into SaltThe use of a dock helps provides different perspectives when photographing waves along the beach. When I was in a small village in the Faroe Islands I was able to take advantage of this dock or pier. Being elevated over the water let me photograph down, but also close to the water itself. The longer shutter speed caught some motion, but not too much so there are still the sharp edges of the water being seen in the image.
