Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay Angles Vintage:2022 peppery spices and fresh flowers

peppery spices and fresh flowers

A restrained and cool nose combines notes of green apple and pear with those of lemon rind and white flower that

firm and austere but not really rustic finish

with no weight and a seamless texture

which gives the finish a dry edge

Marquis d'Angerville, Volnay Angles Vintage:2022 peppery spices and fresh flowers(from a . 53 ha parcel; 2008 was the first vintage where it was declared separately). A deft touch of wood sets off scents of violets as well as essence of red berry fruit that merges into seductively textured, rich and mouth coating flavors that evidence a subtle mineral streak on the velvety and sappy finish. I like the balance as well as the well integrated structure that should enable this to offer 7 to 9 years of improvement. (90 92) 2017+
