Colorado Capitol through the Columns Size:18"x24" In the winter of 2008

In the winter of 2008 I was at Glacier National Park photographing and enjoying the scenery

The area was filled with people sledding on the fresh snow

For the next few months the park will remain quiet

Grabbing a long lens I photographed a tree nearby on the trail in the dwindling light just prior to sunset today

I headed towards Union Station to photograph the accumulating wet snow

Colorado Capitol through the Columns Size:18"x24" In the winter of 2008One of my favorite perspectives of the Colorado State Capitol is from Civic Center Park. It is possible to frame the building through the columns within the park which to me blends in the common architecture style of both of the buildings. The look from this location can differ depending on the time of year as well as the weather so it is always a view I check when walking through the park.
