The doll is porcelain but the hat is hard plastic (similar to his original Kenner hat only not as pliable). I don't see any flaws. The berries are in a different position from another one I have; they're on there very sturdy so I don't think they've been reglued. The doll itself can sell for as much $800 $1000, so this hat will add a lot of value to a doll who is missing it.
