As a young boy, one of his claims to fame was that his uncle as an engineer on the Atchison, Topkea and Santa Fe Railway it was something to brag about, and it instilled in Walt the sense of adventure that trains could provide. As a teenager, he worked aboard the Missouri Pacific Railroad as a news butcher. His deep affection for the rails wold insert itself into just about
