このデザインは、私の大好きな植物をモチーフにしています。ゴールデンロータスバナナは、中国雲南省原産の植物です。ユリカと私は、私が日本の自宅で育てているロータスバナナの写真をいくつか見比べました。細部はすべて植物そのものから得たものなので、このデザインはシンプルに仕上げました。中央のバナナリーフカモフラージュ柄が、程よい繰り返しのパターンを生み出しています。ダークな色合いなので、一年を通してコーディネートしやすいバンダナです。

The design is based on the “Swagger” and Wrangler bandannas of the 1960s

昔のニットウェアで運動をしている人たちの姿が印象に残っていました。カジュアルなのにどこか品があって、動きやすそうで、でもエレガント。そんな雰囲気を現代で再現したくて、スウェットのように年中着られる万能なニットを作ろうと思ったんです。
