Her mother was griefstricken and shut out the world, not wanting to speak to anyone. I knew it would take time for her to heal but I also wanted to let her know that I was thinking of her. This is what prompted me to create this small ornament. Starting with a porcelain hand, I covered the piece in ribbons and lace. I then added some gold glitter stars, a hand sewn French Revival ribbon
