Gunnar Nylund (19041997) was a Swedish Finnish ceramicist and designer, best known for his role as artistic director at Rrstrand from 1931 to 1955. At Rrstrand, he modernized the companys aesthetic, introducing matte "hares fur" glazes and sculptural forms that became hallmarks of the era. Nylund designed both
