The amethysts are surrounded as a group by a cluster of rose cut diamonds set in silver. The band is yellow gold with a timeworn patina. The shoulders feature a distinctive claw like motif that adds a sculptural element to the setting. Closed back, mixed metal construction is consistent with mid Victorian design.
