pillar は英語で柱、時には中心的存在。すごく長さは短いけど、ときに化石が入っていることもあるこのライムストーンの天板との組み合わせによって、形状は違うけど少しだけローマ時代の柱を想像させる。イタリアのバールのカウンターでも石がよく使われている。

わかりやすいチャームポイントは、脚がほんの少しだけ天板の端から押し込まれた位置にあること。それだけで、4本の脚と天板がより仲良く寄り添って見える。

部屋の中で、どうしても大きなサイズのベッドが、それ自体の存在感をなるべく無くしてくれて、ただその上で過ごす時間をなるべく快適に、そよ風のようなものであったらいい。
