Whitby is an iconic seaside town on the East Coast of Yorkshire full of history and a very popular tourist destination. I loved painting this scene with a family sitting on a bench looking over to the Abbey and Castle. You can see the famous 199 steps leading down the hill towards the harbour. Two family
