There is about 1/2" canvas folded backside which can be part of the piece in order to sew it up into a pillow top so you don't lose any of the needlepoint size

but certainly works for a bouquet of rich red roses at Holiday time

The linen canvas is strong

812 or 80% pure silver under the gold plating

The only 2 minor flaws to be noted are the disruption of the ancient seed pearl monogram that lies across the plaited hair on the locket's one side

A full service for 6, each cordial stem is pristine, as is the decanter and stopper. All original set, they date to c. 1880 1910. The engraved stag is fabulous! Each goblet has a smaller animal. I've had this service in one of our homes, (see final photo), but it's time to downsize myself a bit.
